Networks Disrupted By Taiwan Earthquake Struggle To Recover

An undersea earthquake struck off the coast of Taiwan on Wednesday, complicating efforts to repair six submerged cables that were severed by a stronger quake nearly four weeks ago.

This makes me remember back when we had 300, 1200 and then 9600 baud modems.

  • That's by far the strangest comment I've seen. Help wanted spam. Renna, if you check this - check out Pandapassport.com, as they've a forum for that sort of thing.

And hey Steve... I am in total agreement. As someone that spends most of their "free" time doing web design stuff, this is a real pain. My buddy works at HP and he said it's caused some problems with their systems there, and I can only imagine that there's similar problems coming out of IBM. Sux all around.
